About Us:

Founded in 1964 Sea Scouts Ship 956 is a 50-year-old Sailing club for coed teens, ages 14-21.  Our ship is located in the Dunedin marina and supervised by qualified adults.  Our mission is to teach as much about sailing and water navigation as possible while also having fun!

We sail on Thursday nights (subject to change) from 7pm to 9pm.  Anyone is welcome to come have multiple introductory sails with our ship to see if they like our program. The official location is just near Edgewater Park at the Dunedin Marina Boat Club and our ships can be found at Dock D, Slip 17.

EVEN MORE INFO:

We are a part of the Sea Scouting/Venturing program, and have been active in the West Central Florida Council for over 15 years.

Knowing how to sail is not a requirement; learning is part of the club, and we have experienced people to teach you.

We are always looking for new, adventurous members to go sailing, camping, racing with local fleets and of course, our annual week-long cruise to the Bahamas, the Keys or whatever new ports we decide to explore.

We have a small fleet of boats that we own and maintain including a 23' Compact, a 25' Catalina, and three Sunfish, as well as access to members' boats. We as well charter larger sailboats for annual cruises.
